Foxy Fox Lovey

Have you seen the latest Bowtykes lovey?! I had a lot of fun designing a fox to start out the forest lovey set. The blanket turned out just the way I wanted – full of a fun texture using post stitches that I use for all my fox designs. I hope you have fun with the new pattern!

The Foxy Fox Lovey can be purchased at Ravelry, Craftsy, and Etsy.

This fox lovey uses post stitches to create a fun blanket full of texture perfect for a fur coat.

Also known as a security blanket or lovie, a lovey is a fun way to crochet a toy and a blanket all in one.

Materials Needed:
325 yards Worsted Weight Yarn in orange (or gray), white, and black
crochet hook I (5.5mm)
crochet hook G (4.0-4.5mm)
tapestry needle
stitch marker

Yarn weight and gauge is not extremely important, just make sure you are using an appropriate hook size for your yarn of choice. An I hook with worsted weight should give you about an 18” blanket. DK weight also works well with this pattern (adjust hooks as necessary).

NOTE: The post stitches in the blanket could make this pattern challenging for a beginner crocheter. A stitch chart has been included to help those who are having trouble with the blanket.
